So I was trying to add children to our family and finding that to be really an unsuccessful project, all while I was serving as a pastor of a local congregation.
So, I wondered if you could begin by sharing a bit about what you see as the contours of this reticence and why it’s concerning to you.Įlizabeth Hagan: Well, my experience really diving deep into this topic began many years ago when I was personally struggling with infertility. It’s the idea that there’s kind of a “cone of silence” when it comes to discussing certain subjects that are seen as difficult or impolite or off limits.
